All about me…
‘Life’s too short to worry about housework’.
Helen Nutton, 27, is head of recruitment at Micross Recruitment. She lives with her boyfriend Dave in Cardiff.
What do you always put in your shopping basket?
Wine! I’m joking, but there is usually something in there to help me relax and switch off, whether it’s a magazine, bath salts, or chocolate. I also very sadly buy Computer Weekly; I need to be abreast of the industry issues for my job in IT.
What’s your earliest childhood memory? Breaking my wrist after trying to skate up the front steps, always attempting the impossible.
How did you and your partner meet? On a night out, our eyes met across the crowded dance floor – I think he was impressed by my moves!
What’s your most valued/treasured possession? Mt flat, it’s my sanctuary. I bought it just after I joined Micross – it was a proud moment.
What’s your favourite photograph? One of my boyfriend and I laughing at a friend’s birthday, it was such a good night.
How do you spend your spare time? Doing the rounds of friends and family, reading, jogging and walking. The Micross team recently did a charity walk for Tros Gynnal in the Beacons, it was such a rewarding experience that I’m definitely going to do more.
Who was your first crush? Jon Bon Jovi – and I’m proud to say he still is!
What was the last white lie you told? That I would sort out my wardrobe, several weeks ago now. I will get to it, but life is too short to worry about housework!
Do you or have you ever had a nickname? Nutter, due to my unfortunate surname.
When was the last time you cried? Watching Love Actually, it’s one of my favourite films. It gets me every time.
What was your best holiday ever? This year in Spain with my boyfriend, although spending a week in New York with my friends at Christmas was absolutely amazing too.
